The Trust Is Broken

The doorbell rang and when I answered it I found a United States Census worker ready to ask questions. After she introduced herself, I informed her I would give out the number of people living in my home, just as I did with the written survey. There is nothing else she, or my government need to know about me in regards to this survey. After several questions, I ended the questioning and let her know I would not answer any questions.

“I understand you are just the messenger. However, with what I am witnessing in the IRS hearings I do not trust my government. I will tell you the number of people living in my home. It is 6. I am ending the conversation and shutting my door. Thank you and have a good evening.”

Then, I run across this video...

Stunning! These groups who claimed no more than $20,000 in assets were targeted, asked VERY un-American questions because of their beliefs. There is no defense.

The little trust I had for the IRS was fully annihilated. I would feel this way if liberal groups had been targeted. We all have the right to freedom of speech. No American should suspect they are being targeted by the government because of their political views.

I have said it once, and I will say it again – I am not against providing a portion of what I make to help keep the roads, educate our children, and provide the best military in the world. But we now see the agency that is too large, too corrupt, too political.

Time for a flat tax?
